Many multifunction decoders use Indexed CVs for configuring additional features.

Some Digitrax DCC Systems and/or throttles cannot program CVs over 255. Newer throttles in combination with an older command station can work with Indexed CVs.

When programming multifunction decoders, it is best to use a software package such as JMRI or a manufacturer supplied programmer.
